Jacks Fork Watershed Committee 2011
Mission
To educate, preserve, protect, and promote water quality and recreation of the Jacks Fork River and watershed.
Public Involvement
Public meetings were held in 2003 in Eminence, Shannon County, to get public input and ownership of plans for protecting the quality of water in the Jacks Fork. As a result, a watershed partnership was formed which intends to implements several strategies for reducing the bacteria to the river. This group is holding monthly meetings in Eminence.
Following is the Jacks Fork watershed steering committee composition and who they represent:
